Court Backs Illegal Immigrant Students
« on: November 15, 2010, 03:45:50 PM »
Don't know how I will be able to send my kid to college, heck I don't even know where I am going to get the money to replace my 13 year old broken down furnace.   Meanwhile the jackass Supreme Court judges in Kalifornia have unanimously voted to allow criminals (that's what illegal aliens are after all) to pay instate tuition and they are eligable for financial aid as well.   >:(

LOS ANGELES — In a unanimous decision, the California Supreme Court ruled Monday that illegal immigrants can be eligible for the same reduced tuition at public colleges and universities as legal residents of the state.

The ruling is the latest in a series of high-profile battles about state immigration policies. In addition to Arizona’s strict new immigration law, which the United States Department of Justice has challenged in court, nine other states have laws similar to California’s, with lawsuits pending in Nebraska and Texas.

Currently, students who attend at least three years of high school in California and graduate are eligible for in-state tuition at public schools, which can save them as much as $12,000 a year compared with students who come from other states.

Illegal immigrants remain ineligible for state or federal financial aid.

Can it get any stupider than this?
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

I was just getting ready to post about this when I saw you beat me to it. Could our own judicial systom have betrayed us any more flagrantly? Would someone please explain to me just how on God's green earth can an ILLEGAL immigrant be a LEGAL resident? That is just what the court is saying by granting them the same rights. Now we aren't talking human rights, due anyone, but rights earned and payed for by legal American citizens, due American citizens and nobody else!

Billy, with Obama in office do you really need anyone to answer that? Unfortunately it not only can but most likely will!

This are bass ackwards in this Country. Criminals of all types have more rights than law abiding citizens as it is. Now adding illegal aliens to the mix and you have a prime recipe for disaster. We should be asking ourselves just when did our written laws get tossed out the window and why? One major reason is pretending to be president!

So is this the utopian society all the uc berkley and other nut jobs was protesting for in the 60's. Now that they are in gooberment they will make it so? I am sooooooo tired of the crap that is coming down the pike from the liberal, socialist, commie left I am ready for an alternative demonstration by Freedom,Constitution,Liberty lovin Americans to take place. These "people" that are in place and swear an oath to defend this nation have stacked the courts in a fasion no less than hitler did to get his agenda made the norm. Instead we get hate laws passed so Americans have their hands tied. getting close to time to break the bonds.  The downward spiral continues with a usurper at the controls. Resist tyranny.Defend liberty.  Good luck America.

I'm not surprised at all since it's California. I think the US should build a fence on the east and north side of the place. Allow all the LEGAL citizens, unless you are a politician or a judge, that want to leave to do so and then slam the gate. Give the whole mess, politicians, judges, and everyone who elected to stay to Mexico, free and clear. Maybe the north fence should be just north of San Francisco. Have the army stationed along the fence and anyone crawling over, under, or around gets shot and pitched back over the fence.  ;D

Just sarcasm. I know there are a lot of good people in California that don't like what has happened and is still happening to their state but are powerless to stop it. They are simply outnumbered by the radical left as is a large part of the country. Will enough people wake up to what is being does to this country in time to save it? I seriously doubt it. We are away down the tube already. I don't think we can climb back out.

Mark my words, Arizona will lose to the feds when that lawsuit is ruled on.

I wonder if they have the "stones" to wean themselves, for a while, off of the Federal tit, to IGNORE the Supreme Court, to REFUSE to serve those that are illegal residents, and see what, if anything, that Washington, DC does or CAN DO to the State for that refusal.

I am also ashamed that MANY MORE of our States have not backed Arizona, in particular my own State, Florida.  Sentiment is high for a change in that direction though following the Conservative Mandate from the November 2nd election.
