   "Perky" Katie Couric descended from her throne in NY City in order to become an observer of the mid term elections. She benevolently condescended to speak with "middle America". To quote "Her Highness", she was going to mingle with "The Great Unwashed"..

  So, where did she go ?...Well, she travelled to Boston MA, Philadelphia PA, New Brunswick NJ and Obama's Chicago...
     Not even a passing mention of Hastings NB, Ames IA, Woodville TX or Berea KY !
 
        Now that's two ditzy blunders in succession, from "Perky" Katie !
  1) Last I knew, Boston, Philly and New Brunswick were not typical "middle America", but rather east coast bastions of liberalism...and Chicago; we already know what that is.
  2) Even though the residents of the real middle America ("flyover country", for coastal libs) generally work harder than the elites at ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN..I understand them to still be generally punctual in their bathing habits.

  The 'Lamestreamers' still don't "get it" do they ? Even after the people spoke so loudly...they still are hearing deprived..

    Andy Rooney deplored the Gallup poll which said 44.7% of the voters strongly disapprove of B Hussein Obama's policies. He said he asked 9 of his friends about it and 8 of them really like Obama's policies...so Gallup MUST be wrong !
   Surely he wouldn't want to inquire outside the bubble he lives in...if he did that, that bubble might burst !

I know I'm gonna get some hate my way for saying this...

I was getting some last minute stuff for deer season (coolers for the meat I think) and couldn't believe the number of people at the wal-mart sporting goods counter that were there THE NIGHT BEFORE to get their deer tags!  The line was thirty or forty people, so we didn't buy our stuff because the wait would have been half an hour probably.  I almost vomitted though, just walking to the counter and back through the aisles- because a few of them people stank, real bad.  I have a strong stomach: I have physically moved/transported dead bodies in a hospital setting and helped wipe the butt of bedridden people, checked/inspected/cleaned up after wounded and kia iraqis and marines, cas-evacs, and obviously have done a few deer..... but the smell of a few too-ripe rednecks was too much for me.  It doesn't even matter if you use deodorant or cologne, if your clothes are washed after a days use and your body has had a bar of soap directly against it once per calendar day- you cannot smell too bad because the funk hasn't had time to build to such levels.  I was proud and happy to see so many white, country, shooters/hunter walking around in camo and orange, I felt like I was in a family reunion!  Then I got to the center of the action and the smell had me choked up.  There is a reason for the stereotype.  Most rednecks, hics, honkys or whatever that I know and work with are good people who smell like whatever brand of soap/shampoo/etcetera they use, but the incident rate seems to be higher for that category of people.  Let's be honest.

HEH. Maybe they were going for the all natural scent. I too have smelled them when I worked at wm. Some of them would gag a maggot. POWDERMAN.

  Then too, likely some of the 'elites' who complain about the "great unwashed", may be quite ugly and dirty INSIDE...

  Careless filth of the body is bad enough...but continuously careless filth of the soul is quite another..

It could be that some of the stinky hunters standing in line are using a natural strategy that even some animals use.  I once had a dog that just delighted in rolling in cow pies, cat dung, or apparently anything else that concealed his own smell.  That dog never seemed happier than when he reeked of some kind of crap.  I figured it was some kind of "instinktive" behavior that was meant to cover up his own scent, so that other animals that might be his prey wouldn't smell him coming.  Well, they might smell him, but they would dismiss it as a fresh pile of excrement and ignor him.

I've heard that is why early humans survived in the wild.  They stunk to the prey animals.

MAGOOCH. HEH, my ex mother in law had a white poodle, I couldn't stand that spoiled pampered little twirp. One day she let it out and I watched gleefully as it ran over into the pasture and proceeded to roll in one cow pie after another. The look on the mil face and reaction was priceless. Of course it was MY fault for not stopping it, but it was worth it. POWDERMAN.

it makes sense for animals that have scent glands.  they need to compensate for that, but we don't.

      Yep! Guess I am part of Preky Katie's "great unwashed" also...because I don't wash in the same propaganda she does. Unlike some of her associates however, I try to remain clean in my soul  also..
