When a crime is committed, the police use profiling to find the perpetrator. If it was a white person, you get hair color, eye color, height, weight, etc. A black, dark or ligher skinned, height, weight, what they are wearing etc. This helps them find the person. Same with terroists, We know they are middle eastern, Muslim, etc. Anyone entering the US from a middle eastern country should be searched and their luggage. Maybe if enough of their innocent have enough, they will demand their governments crack down on potential terroists. We shouldn't have to put up with this. Timothy Mcveigh was a once in a lifetime domestic terroist. 99.9% of normal Americans are not terroists. More illegals are crossing the border than come in via airlines. With Air Marshals on every filght, and pilots allowed to carry, and lockable cockpits, using a plane for a bomb isn't likely to happen again. Full body pat downs and naked scanners are not necessary. I also think small sharp objects should be allowed but given a tag and have a lockable closet or something on board the plane. When you leave the plane, present your number and retrieve your sharp object or knife or have it stored below.
