So what you're saying is that even though he is non-muslim, he should still be checked, because he still might be carrying something . . . . how exactly is that different from just checking everyone because ANYONE could smuggle in a weapon? 

I mean seriously most of the members on this board I'd wager have CCW permits - we are accustomed to "hiding" weapons in jackets, pants pockets, waistbands, etc.  Why does the turban on this guy's non-muslim head provide some extreme hiding location that a jacket pocket would not?

Realistically, if this guy should be checked then SO SHOULD YOU, because neither of you are muslims, and both of you have garments on that could conceal a weapon.

That's the problem with these ideas though.  Everyone wants to check the "others" and be left untouched themselves.  They forget that EVERYONE is an "other" from the perspective of every other group.

In the end, it only makes sense to either check everyone, or no one at all.

OK here is my problem with all this "grope and change" policy ! Its after the fact feel good BS! Lets look back at what has happened.

Hijackers take over planes with box cutters, So we get no nail files, or pocket knives on planes. THEY WIN!

A shoe bomber FAILS to get his shoes to go off, so now we all take our shoes off, They win!

An underwear bomber lights his drawers on fire, FAILS to blow up the plane. Now we get groped, scanned and felt up! THEY Win!

ARE ya getting the picture? Soon an MUSLIM will get on a plane in abbudabi with C4 stuck up his rectum. We will all get a body cavity search to fly after that! Ya see where this is going?

  I believe Oldshooter is correct in that the whole groping thing is a "feel good" move...a stupid one by a stupid administration, but
   nonetheless that's what it is. Everyone was not happy with the invasive scanners, so it looks like the Obamaniacs figured, "the unwashed masses don't like folks seeing them naked, let's have them groped and felt up..then they will be glad to accept the porn pictures"!
  Again, the Progressives misunderstand genuine Americans...we don't want either, especially when we see the "safest airline in the world" (El Al) doesn't use either of these methods.
  Due to their view of humanity as simply "evolved apes", or in the case of babies, as a "glob of tissue", Progressives have a hard time featuring people as individuals, wanting their personal 'junk' being kept personal...especially when these people come from the "great unwashed'.
   You must realize, Progressives are more highly "evolved" that the rest of us , and entitled to better trteatment.


  BTW: the TSA swears the scanners are made in such a way that they cannot preserve the images as copies or photos. If they are not lying, then where are all the TSC X-ray images we see on TV coming from ?

It is all because they won't profile.  When a crime is committed, they profile the perpetrator by witnesses.  We had the World Trade Center blown up.  We have to profile.  Simple, check all Muslims and people coming from the Middle-East.
