Need help identifying a reloader
« on: December 10, 2003, 09:48:56 AM »
My brother-in-law and I purchased a used 12 gauge reloader at a second hand store for $35. It looks like it was made by Hornady. It is a progressive press painted with Hornady red color. There are no names on the press whatsoever.

Here is a link to the picture of the reloader:

Any help would be appreciated. The press is in great condition, although missing a few parts. I like to find a manual for it, plus a parts list.

Thanks!  Turbo
If it isn't fun, it probably isn't worth doing.

Don't have a clue, but the old boys over at trapshooters might.

Toobroke, I think you nailed it! I looked on ebay for texan reloaders and saw one nearly identical to my brother-in-law's. It sure would be nice to get a copy of a manual for it.

Does anyone know how to identify various models of Texan progressive presses?

Thanks! Turbo

Its an old model texan model m I happen to have one a pretty good loader Hard to get bushings for it now. some possness warren bushings fit. I machined new bushing holders for mine to take standard mec bushings not to difficult if you have access to a tooling shop. I have the originall manual for it let me know if you would like a copy

rwrobe, I am very interested to hear that some possness warren bushings will fit.  My brother-in-law and I have been getting it lubed up so it rotates easily. We still need to find a primer tube. We were able to get hoppers to fit, using some duct tape to hold them in place. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the press. It's a shame Texan went out of business. Seems like they had a pretty good product.  Turbo
