What's behind the new air travel humiliations ?
« on: November 19, 2010, 03:43:53 AM »
  What is behind the embarassing treatment people are receiving at our air travel centers...here's one guess..

     Dictators for centuries have found that people are far easier to control if you strip them, humiliate them and shame them.
  I recall having to "prison chase" a PFC courts-martial loser to the stockade for imprisonment. He was first stripped, deloused with copious powder etc etc.
  Dictators and wanna-be dictators fully understand this 'control technique'.  Is this the start of the rise of the brownshirts ?

  Hitler knew the process well, pictured below are some holocaust victims as they were greeted at Mauthausen concentration camp..first event, stripped and deloused.   And we cannot deny that we surely have some "control freaks" in the administration...

IG,

You are indeed correct.  The whole process is Machiavellian in nature.  The end justifies the means.  One of Machiavelli's major points in The Prince  is that is more preferable that the people fear you, than love you.   Fear makes people easier to control.  BO, TSA, and all the other Obamatons know this fact.

I think what is behind it, is a desire to have airline security. It's a hard thing to achieve, and getting us to this grim point was a definite win for the bad guys. Doesn't mean I like it. I've worked with TSA before, actually trained a bunch of them a few years ago - it's leadership is a Rice Bowl for double-dippers. I do not like flying these days.

But I shot a nice six-pointer Weds....

It's simply to prevent people from filling their colons and/or vaginas with explosives and blowing up themselves and an airplane over a large American city.  The American far right is using it as an excuse to shut down all American airports and further their ambitions to transform America into a one-party, right wing Fascist dictatorship.

Junior,

The dictatorship has already begun, and is being expanded under BO.  usurpation of states rights (10th Amendment), usurpation of the peoples rights, ie, those not granted to the Govt by the Constitution (9th Amendment), tacit approval of TSA crimes against America by not issuing cease and desist executive order (4th Amendment), bypassing "Advise and Consent" power of US Senate for political appointees ie, czars (Article II, Section 2), and committing perjury sweaing to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States" (Article II, Section 1), to name but a few.   Be careful, I think you have a Kool-Aid spot on your chin.

You think it might be that people in general are tired of being penalized for what one group of other people are doing? Corporal punishment just doesn't sit well. I find it VERY insulting that I among thousands of others who at one time swore to defend this nation, under scrutiny for what those who swear to destroy this nation, have done. Why should the populace, guaranteed Freedoms by our Constitution, have to undergo tyranny because a group of people hate us. Deal with the people who are behind the assault and leave me my Liberty.  The PC agenda politicos have dialogue with the enemy, and treat me like the enemy. Yeah, I think people are just sick and tired of it. Control that is. Four legs good, two legs ba-a-a-a-a-d.

Bureaucratic paranoia. They know there's a threat out there but they don't know what to do about it.

This is just a logical extension of the shoe bomber case that triggered the the requirement for billions of travelers in the US to remove shoes every time the tried to board a plane. After the underwear bomber it was widely predicted that the next step would be searches that detect underwear bombs. Now look at what we have, institutionalized felony sexual assault.

What is not being discussed is that the terrorists have already gotten wise to the fact that it makes little sense to conduct big, spectacular attacks with complicated weapons. The wave of the future is the practice of killing just a few people at a time, but frequently. This is very effective, is practically impossible to prevent, and costs very little. It is also the approach least likely to result in an arrest or conviction. It also requires very little in the way of technical knowledge. Just a few gun shots here and a molotov cocktail there gets the job done.

 Yellowtail;
  Congrats on the 6 pointer..

  JUNIOR< JUNIOR< JUNIOR;
  Really, your statements don't reach the junior level, not even the sophmore level...more like 6th grade.

  My nephew stopped by this evening, he has just retired from the Army (25 years). He related this humorus story.. his unit was sent back from his last deployment to Afghanistan via a leased/commercial carrier. They were not wearing class "A", but BDU uniforms. Upon arrival stateside from the sandbox our troops were ven treated like terrorists.  He had been working with C-4..he even had his gloves with him which he had used with the C-4. He said it was interesting toi note the reaction of the TSA inspector... :D ;D
  I guess one should not be surprised that ALL our troops are suspect...after all we wouldn't want to make terrorists like Ft Hood's Maj Hassan "uncomfortable".    ...Political correctness is murdering our society..

I told the wife tonight that if I have to fly any place am gonna buy my self a THONG swim suit and wear it to the air port. Cant you just see a 70 year old bald guy, 5ft 8in tall weighing 225 lbs with beard, glasses, hearing aids and missing teeth going thru the TSA like that. Think  would call the local news and have them there for that.  Wife said she would not go with me.   :o  :o  :o

The underlying impetus for the latest security outrage is obviously an attempt to get ahead of the terrorists.  If these steps weren't being taken, someone would be getting criticized for not doing enough.  So until there is proof of some kind of conspiracy to control the poopulation, I'm not going to buy into "1984."   Besides, all of this is an unintended distraction that diverts attention from far more serious issues.

No matter whether you agree, or disagree with body scanning, or pat-downs, it's still your choice whether to fly, or not.  Maybe they should hold a vote of the passengers pryor to each flight and allow them to decide if they trust their fellow flyers.  They could all feel each other up and fly the really friendly skies.

IG....What's behind it...?   Control...more and more control. I didn't hear you complaining when Bush ramrodded thru the Patriot Act or the Military Commissions Act, or blocked a 911 investigation....and you probably wouldn't be complaining if the Bush team started this patdown routine....admit it.

Fact is eventually travel by Americans within and out of the country is likely going to be squelched....start getting use to it.

.TM7
.

  TM;
  Actually, I wasn't in favor of every measure of the Patriot Act..but when I searched the Constitution, I found no prohibition of eavesdropping in on terrorists international phone communications. ;) :D
  However, in regards to government agents violating of the most personal areas of a citizens and searching their most intimate, personal parts..we find the fourth article of the Bill of Rights:

     ARTICLE IV

    Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Obviously, just one more effort of Constitution-smashing by the Obamanites..

Guys they are trying to keep the dam planes from getting blown up by those peace loving Muslims‘! You are not required to fly! So you don't have to do this!

   Perhaps it will soon be;
 1) So we have taken all voices of opposition off the ratio and TV...you don't HAVE to listen.
 2) So we have outlawed hunting on all lands,publicand private, youi don't HAVE to hunt.
 3) So we have outlawed religious services, you don't HAVE to attend a church or synagogue.
 4) So we have outlawed guns and expanded police services, now you don't HAVE to own a gun.

   ....I could go on and on ...but those with ears and eyes have heard and seen by now...

     I think some of you guys should read and study the US Constitution....and the reasons behind it !!!

   Stop and think a bit; metal detectors can find anything made of metal. THe stuff they are looking for now, are explosives..  powders and chemicals, something X-Rays and  pat downs are not good at detecting.
   These things are best detected by dogs, why are they not using dogs to check each and every person ?  Selah !

   Scatter;
  Not as tough as you may think !  I have a friend, a Marine who works with detection dogs . Dogs' toilet habits can be fairly well controlled by regulating their feeding hours..besides an occasional 'dog accident' is not nearly so invasive as a full body grope (ask any 8 yr old who just went through one).  Properly set up for the purpose, a dog can 'scan' thousands per hour, and dogs don't join unions nor collect union pay and sit on their butts for 6 out of 8 hours and they are trained not to be brutishly rude to the public.  Dogs can be trained better than some people ;) :D
    Also, dogs are not likely to be perverts regarding humans, so they are not likely to gravitate to such jobs as "groping and scanning", as human perverts are almost sure to do. :D :( :P

   All of these debates would lose their validity if the administration would simply take lessons from Israel on how to do it. Bombers don't blow Israeli planes !
   Another angle is the Washington "establishment" club. Micheal Chertoff, Dept of Homeland Security under Bush is now part owner and chief lobbyist for the scanning machines. Time to break up the old club that crosses party lines and is continually 'crossing the people' !

    Here we have an administration trying to destroy the 4th article of the BILL OF RIGHTS..and the Kool-aid drinkers are lining up to cheer them on..

   All this screening is just wasted motion if some of the most likely suspects are allowed to board without proper screening. This stupid, politically-correct administration is considering muslim women be allowed a "self pat down"....
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/nov/17/terrorists-hiding-in-hijabs/

     Yeah, right...and I'll hire Colonel Saunders to babysit my chickens ! ;) :D ;D

Unless you are a pilot, that is probably not the case.
