8 inches of heavy heart attack snow last weekend, sleet last night, freezing rain this morning. Pulled out the winter jacket yesterday, darn spring jacket wasn't worth a darn in 20 degree temps.
We are supposed to experience the coldest Thanksgiving since the 80s--high temp is supposed to be around 15 degrees. Only mosquitos around here-- are in our dreams.

There was waterfowl everywhere going out to feed and migrating.Snow geese, sandhill cranes and huge flocks of mallards.I found a few open water spots out in the middle of lakes/sloughs and they were covered up with waterfowl.I traveled up to Ft.Yates N.D  late yesterday afternoon/evening.They had snow on the ground and when I left around 8 PM it was snowing hard,it was hard to see while driving.

We got a big dump of powdery snow 6-10 inches last night and it's going down to -9 degrees tonight.

It was 54 degrees last night at 10 PM!!! with rain and lots of heavy fog. The wind is blowing hard now and bringing in the front that will drop us to the low teens by T day evening. We got quite a bit of rain the last two days so the quick freeze will really make the top soil layers just ice and they will freeze solid soon.
