My FIL used to stoke up the fireplace, open the big window in his living room and sit in his easy chair watching the Western channel reruns and shoot deer without ever getting up. In the summer he sat in the same chair and shot groundhogs, and other critters that invaded his garden without ever getting up. He was an old country boy and in the last few years of his life suffered from heart problems. He had always spent time afield and this was just a way of still maintaining that way of life he loved. MIL knew better than to say anything.
Bullseye, right after I finished building our house and we got moved in, I got up late one morning and went to the kitchen for coffee. While standing there in my drawers scratchin my butt and waiting for the coffee to get done I got an eerie feeling. I looked behind me toward the north facing window and low and behold there stood a very large buck with his nose firmly pressed against the glass watching my every move. Scared me more than him I assure you. It was only 12' to the door and by the time I got there he had crossed the 520 yards to the woods and was just going in as I got to the porch. Wife wanted to know if it was legal to take them by causing them to laugh themselves to death.
Korkskru, Redneck you say? You better believe it! And proud of it too.
