Hawks rock!   :D   I have made only one thus far (a rr spike hawk) but it was a blast to make and one of my scout kids taught me how to throw it.  Nice work man.

I take it the eye is made from pipe and the blade leaf spring and that you split the pipe and forge welded the bit into it?

I've made a few hawks, but always by cutting and drifting a solid piece.  The few I've tried by wraping mild steel around the drift and welding spring in it has not come out right so far.  Know I just need more practice, but may give your methoud a try.

Those look awesome! I love to see what others on these forums make themselves. I do woodburnings and make old style furniture for myself and family.
