Finally, vidication! McCain is not president
« on: November 23, 2010, 05:07:25 PM »
Does anybody really think that the tea party would have caused a sea change in politics if that slimy moron McCain had been elected instead of the vile Obam-ster? I've been saying for years that it was better that Obama be elected because it would be the final test of American character. We are now in a position where the people have risen and show signs of holding their elected representatives accountable for what they do in office. To paraphrase my ol friend Mad Dog, Obama can always serve as a bad example.

Nope.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

People have short memories. Carter was/is, a fine example of what a bad example is. Too many paying attention to what sports star is getting a divorce because of girlfriends in every city, or which hollywood star is going into rehab because of drugs or booze. gypsyman

The people of Arizona at the moment are fighting for their lives as they know it, in regards to the illegal alien, and the border war. McCain whom was first FOR amnesty, and now is AGAINST amnesty, has changed horses so many times, I doubt he knows which horse is really his. He has voted AGAINST, freedom of speech, AGAINST the 2nd Amendment, and FOR amnesty for illegals, for 30 years. YET! Arizona voted him back in, and the SUPER CONSERVATIVE Palin campaigned for him.
Have the people learned you ask? Apparently not. McCain is an open Socialist, with a stolen Capitolist suit. Palin on the other hand is a hammer this liberal, and help save this liberal, mass of false signals, and confusing behavior. She very well could be the next "lessor of two evils".  ::)

As I recall it, McCain ran as a Republican.  What did the Tea Party have to do with it?

The so called conservatives (Republicans) will have a big choice in 2012.
Sarah, Newt, Huckster, or the Mormon.(I can't think of his name).I think Newt will be the lesser of choice.

All his sorry new world order past will be forgiven, and will be the one to lead us out of the mess we are in.

Have the people learned? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Freedom Of Speech.....Once we lose it, every other freedom will follow.

Huckabee runs, and Obama wins. Simple as that.

+1 on that. If the Republicans have any chance at all,
they will have to bring out some new and bold blood
into the fray. Huck, Newt, Sarah or Mr.McCain will not win.
I believe that in 2012, a 3rd party will have the best chance
ever of gaining the presidency.

Best chance, in recent memory - maybe so.

Any chance of success - not a bit. Who??

Perhaps republicans will choose someone like .

Ron Paul - Texas
or
Paul Ryan  - Wisconsin

The "Republicans" with the help of "Fox News" (the fair and balanced one ::)) will most likely pick someone like Romney, Huckabee, or one of the other "SHINEY" Republicans. Then everyone can vote for one of those out of fear of Obama. It will once again, for the umpteenth time, be a "lose-lose" situation.
The few Actual Tea Party candidates that got elected will watch, while the Republicans that managed to jump on the Tea Party band wagon, and get elected, or re-elected will once again "forget" what they promised.

The Republicans can't put forward a platform that the silent majority will vote for or that is needed. That platform would go against the Republicans belief of uncontrolled big banks and coorporations. Politics will have to get more extreme to the left or to the right to reach a breaking point  that will allow a platform of proper balance to emerge, a much stronger version of the Tea Party attitude.  A major depression will probably reach that end before the political policies/platforms ever do.  eddiegjr

eddie, I sincerely hope you are right. If it takes a fight, then let there be one. Right now, we're spinnin our wheels, and folks are still grabbin the shiniest thing that passes by. Politicians at the present, and for the most part, are "a mile wide, and an inch deep".

Say, man! In 2012 it will not be one repubican against another and it will not be one platform against another. It will be one candidate against another. Right now, Obama's kicking the butts of all republican hopefuls. They do not stand a chance. Too disorganized. Too old school. Totally out of touch with what the nation needs.  And way too robotic in public speaking.
