First week of trapping yielded 300 muskrats, a handful of raccoon, and a mink....

Here's some pictures,

Beautiful woman, has a pickup anda boat, likes to trap... I think I'm in love!  If she can cook I'll know it's real!   ;D

That's really impressive Kristen!

I'm just wondering where you got into that many rats that quick? Surely got a hot spot there, but I'm guessing there was still plenty work involved.

I bet you are the first trapper to wear designer jeans on the job. That shows success.

Loads of hard work..lost my phone in the process when I fell in the marsh haha.
In my area there is a great amount of marshland here. Just got to know the right spots and people.

My question is: Is that YOU in the pictures, or is that a girl friend. I'm old, and at times I need things explained to me. I don't know if Kristen is a girl or a boy.  ???

K now you are what i would call a real trapping partner.  Keep up the good work and put your cell in a waterproof container.  I put mine in one when in canoe.  Some have earphones that you can plug in so you dont have to take out of bag.  Are you putting your rats up on wood or wire?

Dee, thats me. I do have a trapping partner so I can't take credit for everything, he's the reason for my trapping obsession.

Well at 61, I don't see many like you in the woods. My wife goes but she's now 65 years old. We're canoe type, old rifles, and I have done some trappin too. You give me hope in the youngsters. Keep it up, and pardon my stupidity.

Yea I wonder why we try carrying the goofy electronics in the marsh. I've come close a few times but never drown my cell phone. I usually leave it turned off and in the dry bag while trapping from the boat. I do have a semi dry pocket on my water fowl hunting coat. So I can leave it on and in that pocket. If I'd have put my digital camera in the dry pocket it wouldn't be junk now. I had my camera in my lower pocket wading a channel and fell to my knees. Came about a inch from going over my waders but put the pocket with the camera full under water. I got a water proof 35mm but who wants to use that when ya got a digital. Seems everything I buy either needs to be water proof or made to float. I have the skill and equipment to recover lots of different stuff from the water. Most that don't belong in the water and goes in by accident is junk when you get it out.

My kids are grown and gone, so I mostly hunt alone,  and sometimes fish by myself. My wife is afraid I will get sick or hurt, and I have really bad knees, so she makes me carry a cell phone. I guess it's just part of gettin old that I have to carry something I have to call and say: I've fallen and I can't get up. ::)

Kristen,
It's great to see a lady take a great interest in trapping. I've had a number of ladies go through the hunter safety classes but I've never had one yet go through the trapper safety classes. May your traps be full and the inside of your wadders dry!
