He's been not running for president for at least two years.  The way I look at 2012, he's the only Rebublican who might could beat Obama.  He's also the only Rebublican I wouldn't mind seeing as president.  I voted for him in the last Louisiana governor's election.   One thing I like about him is he always does what he thinks is best and d--n the controversy.  Mannnnnn, he would shake up Washington!!

He would be better than some of the good ol' boys thats certain. Sure would like to see an independent get in. That would test all the babble about bi-partisanship, (tri-partisanship?)

He'd do things like in his inauguration speech anounce that in 30 days ALL government agencies would have their funding cut 25%.  And he'd mean it!

That would be fine, but there are some agencies that need to be cut 100%.

I too might consider Jindal if he ran. But I doubt he will.

What I recall is that he was hot, and then Palin blew him off the road. He tried to bounce back and had an awful speech or response to a speech and the GOP just forgot about him.

  PM;
  Louisiana was under Democrat leadership then  Kathleen Blanco, governor & Ray Nagin , mayor of New Orleans. Since the gun seizures took place in New Orleans only...I would assume Ray Nagin was the culprit.
