What do you think of my crotch horn?

My NEF .308 got a chance to bark (albeit twice) this year when I saw a deer's beams touching the ground as he fed facing me in the alfalfa out at 230 yards just before dusk on Nov. 11th.  Frankly; I thought he was the Muy Grande until I walked over and saw what was on his head.  Got a kick out of this though. When my father in-law (pictured) and I walked into the Ale House a couple of days later and I said I wanted to enter my crotch horn in their big buck contest, there was quite a bit of snickering at the bar.  Not so much though, when a bunch trooped out to watch the weigh in and I dropped the tailgate on the truck. Anyway, what a crazy crotch horn. Has 22 inch main long beams and scores just about 100 B&C. A mature buck too at 5 1/2 years old. Unusual enough that I think I am going to have him mounted. Would you?

Pretty nice!
If it was me I would do a european mount (lots cheaper!) and spend the left over money on more bullets, or another gun, or pie, etc..........

 That Deer is big. What did he weigh? If the money was there I would mount it ;)

I zoomed-in the pic looking in his crotch for a horn. ::) Didn't see a thing :o, am I missing something? ???  ;D  :D

+1 for the EU mount. Save the money for next year's 140+ class deer. ;)

Nice sized deer- congrats! I like the EU mount- even if it were "pointier"  ;D  I would have shot that one, can't eat antlers anyway, but he has very unique antlers and they deserve some type of display.
Nice to have another successful Handi hunter!

Yep, the crotch sure looked like it had been dehorned! 

What is the stuff on the cooler floor? Sawdust, absorb all, oil soak?

Good looking deer. I like European mounts also.

Nice deer . Not sure what part of the country he is from but I think what he may be refering to is what we here in the Mid West call a "fork Horn". Never heard it called a crotch horn before ?? Kurt

I thought you invented a new device for the TSA that let them know they were high enough on the thigh!

Man that is a monster, Id at least do a euro, its too cool.  My dad shot one this year that is just ugly enough we are going to have to do something with it, One is shaped perfectly for a mug handle, lol
