Just looken for an opinion

    I have a chance to get a FN mauser with a new ER Shaw barrel in 7x57. for 150.00. What's your opinion?

Yep, I too would suggest snapping that up, provided its in good shape and not abused, if your in the mood for a 7x57.  It would make for an excellent Deer/Pronghorn/Black Bear/Hog getter.

In 7x57 the new barrel costs that($150). JUMP ON IT!!!!!!! I'm building 6,5mm swede's and 7mm mausers right now.  I need some smaller youth carbines, plus i want to play with the grandkids too. .

  Got it!  The barrel is LONG!! But I put a 4-12x40 tasco scope on it (I had it laying around) and that thing is incredable! It shoots as good as my 260 Rem on my type 38 Jap. Is this F.N. action as good as I think it is? I am holding well under an inch at 100 yrds. I have a feeling the gun may shoot tighter than I am capable of. The only thing I don't like is that it still has the military safty and it is stiff. I may need to get a different Timney under it.
