SNOW--when I thought things couldn't get any worse, we got snow today.  It's been raining for the last two days, gotten over 3 inches of rain.  The creeks are out of their banks and all my traps are flooded out.  Businesses and residences are flooded out here; it's a mess and I'm fresh out of beer.  Temperatures dropping into the teens tonight.  Oh well, it is winter time and that's part of trapping.

I hear ya. We got 4 inches of rain here and the temps are dropping. Stopped raining last night and has been snowing non-stop. The snow is just now starting to stick a little and if it keeps up we ought to have an inch or so by morning. Luckily we got our traps out of the creeks before all the rain, but still have some traps in a few ponds. Started freeze-proofing my K-9 sets today with waxed dirt, but didn't get them all. Like you said, thats part of trapping. At least with the snow on the ground those catch circles are easy to spot.
