synthetic stock for N.E.F. 10 ga
« on: December 01, 2010, 10:45:40 PM »
I am looking for help verifying the fit of any survivor style or pistol grip style buttstock for my parder waterfowl 10ga.
I also like the handi-grip style stock, ATI makes a tactical version for NEF and H&R shotguns but it dosn't spec if it fits the 10ga. Any help would be appreciated. I will post pics when complete of the only tactical 10ga I have seen, Nicknamed , " THE BULLDOG "   ;D

I would NOT put the ATI collapsible stock on a 10 gauge. They have been known to collapse under hard recoil (we are talking 10 guage remember) and cause injury. For the same reason a Survivor buttstock has no recoil pad and might not be to comfortable for shooting, but you culd add a Sims slip on recoil pad that would help. For whats its worth anyway...and  luck....<><....:)

the only tactical 10ga I have seen...

I know what you mean, but since you wrote this, i'm having fun:

Ithaca made one for years, looked no different than sporting arms but called it something quite different: "Roadblocker"

I remember the Ithaca mag10 roadblocker from marketing literature back in the 80s when I was an MP .

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

I agree...You want the best recoil pad that can fit on your gun and that you can afford...That 10 GA is a beast.  I even added a Mercury Recoil Suppressor to the butt stock bolt hole on my 10 GA to calm things down a little...

lol THe first time i had anyone post a link to somthing i posted . I feel liked i helped answer some questions . I dont know though about the m4 style stock . I plan on just getting a factory synthetic stock to go with the forend . http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/h&r_stocks.htm

http://www.atigunstocks.com/p-68-buttpad.aspx

that recoil pad does look comfy and it about half the price of the conventional factory stock .you could probablyuse that stock if you bought the varmit forend and wieghted it down with lead for lower recoil
In theory its sound ",but in practice its flawed
