I don't feel that you are totally wrong RangeRider. but I do feel that we stress over a multitude of issues FAR more than just dieting! Yes, the guilt trip that many try to put many of us on is REAL and WRONG. But I seriously believe that to diet for ONE'S OWN SELF IMAGE and happiness is very important. At my age, I would like to stick around for a few more fishing or hunting trips, If the Good Lord so wishes, So, for that reason alone, I try to improve MY health. I try to eat healthy and to get more exercise in order to enjoy life a little longer and in better life style. If I were to want to stress more, I could stress over the damage that was done to my body by Viet Nam. I am pretty sure the issues that happened to me there would probably account for a shorter life than if I had never gone. Water under the bridge. I also believe that the saying that the body is the Lord's temple had some validity, also. OOOPPS
, sorry, I know that that is not PC. Sorry, don't give a sh*t (about PC)
In the end, though, You do have some valid points. Blessings to you.
Bubba: I have to agree with you also. I feel that we do have to pay a little attention to calories, carbs, sugars ETC., so that we may improve our life style. your way of doing it has great merit. positive reinforcement has a definite place in following a common sense diet.
I guess what it boils down to is : you do what you feel is best for you and works. If I want to stress on something, I can surely find far more important things to stress on----------such as : how about finding out my relationship to my Higher Power whom I choose to call God The Father and Jesus Christ. OKAY???
