Boyd laminate stock for a Model 70, any good?

Looking at a replacement stock and found Boyd.  I like the idea of laminate instead of synthetic because they make some pretty cheap ones.  Anybody have any experience with them?  Good, bad or ugly.....

I had one on the 06 and liked it . Never gave me any problems in any weather .It seems to add a bit to the overal weight . I have since traded the rifle for one in 300 WM

I have one for my model 88.  It was kind of tough to fit, more so than I would have expected but that was more due to the "clover leaf" thrust block (it's a pre-64).  It is a bit heavier than the factory stock but it is also a heck of a lot stronger.  It is extremely stable in wet weather which was why I bought it.

Thanks for the reviews.  Sounds like what I expected as far as weight.  I typically tree stand hunt so more weight is actually a positive in my eyes.  I may take the back if I ever get to do a high elevation hunt.
