good deal: That should put the meat on the table ! I own 3 rifles in 30-06 2 of then are savages! Wish I could shoot them all at 1 time! My father steered me in the direction of the 30-06 & I never looked back! (God bless his soul 1931-1996 still mis him today) Christmas is about giving ! Dale

Just got a used 110 Sierra in 30-06 and may surprise my son with it at the range tomorrow. He carried my old heavy M70 last moose season and never complained tho its pretty heavy. He wants to go practice for winter moose season so I might just sneak  it into a case and let him open it up at the range. Hope it isn't too light. Sure will be nice to carry. I put my old Leup. Varix III 1.5 to 5 on it last night after he went to sleep. Oh, he'll be 13 in March, weighs about 120 - well heck he seems to gain 5 pounds every time we check - growing like a weed and hard as rocks.

Hope it shoots well. First Savage centerfire bolt we've had. Grew up with two 22/410 combos and my other son has a lefty 22 youth bolt gun.
