375JDJ load info
« on: December 07, 2010, 04:42:56 PM »
Trying to get some info on loading my 375JDJ contender (I have a 23" barrel, not that it really matters). I like the 260 grain Accubond bullets but cant find real info, just bits and pieces... anyone have a full recipe for this? Thanks..

I'm a bit partial to the polymer tipped bullets..any other loads would be appreciated also..

Here's SSK's data... it includes 300 grain bullet data and seating recommendations for them.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

Call SSK they should be able to help you out.  I never have tried the AccuBond out of Mine. I've shot mostly 220 and 270 gr Hornadys. I don't know but I would think you could get away with using 270 gr data.

I imagine that it would be very similar to the 270 Spire point from Hornady.  your seating depth would be similar as far as seating the base of the bullet to the bottom of the neck and stopping there so you will not be taking any more case capacity.  The only difference I could think of would be the bearing surface of the bullet and causing a pressure rise possibly if the contact area was more but without having the two rounds in front of me, I have no clue what to tell you on that.  I would probably back off the 270 sp data and work up slowly personally, plus.....no two barrels are always the same. Especially the TC barrels trying to use JDs data.  If I'm not mistaken, the 375 data that I have has a separate section for the TC barrel....
