I sure miss Tom McCahill's witty car reviews of the 1950s. He would do the most extraordinary tests, like wrapping the car's radiator in blankets then driving fast in the desert, then reporting whether it overheated. He'd report maximum speed of a car as "a flea's sneeze over 90mph." Funny stuff. More examples are in this link:

Sadly that kind of writing no longer appeals to an "over stimulated" populace anymore.
