today I got a nef 22-250 with pw and ascope and hardcase for 129.00!
a rossi trif 243/22/20 for 99.00
and a rossi ss 17hmr/20g for 99.00

my chrismas shopping is done.

Not sure how you pulled that one off. I just talked with our Dicks. They have a .308 and a .44 both are $249 each. Any ways congrats.

Not at Dick's, but another big-box store I found a rifle well under what I thought it should be too.......sometimes ya gotta wonder if they do that on purpose once in a while. I didnt linger....its not a Handi, but it is a great shooter and it was a 'steal'.

these were in the clearance area, I couldnt believe my eyes. the 308's are there too for 249 and i think they are with scopes.

Called 3. Nada. One said they had the Rossi SS .17HMR scoped combos sitting for years and blew them out in 1 day last week at $79. Inventorytime ?

I have never seen a clearance area in either of the Dick's near me. They have had the same Marlin 45-70 there since about when the store opened never seen it marked down.

Last Spring I saw a Bushnell 3200 3-9x40 on clearance for $99. When the rang it up it was even lower, $79. Iasked if they had anymore, but that was the last one, very nice optics for the money!!

I messed up, the nef 22-250 was 99.00 and the rossi stainless 17hmr was 129.00. Amazing. Im going to gift out the rossi to my father -in-law, he'll think I dumped some cash on him, hehe.

Did you miss a # key when you typed that?
After I read this yesterday I went to Dicks, 308 scoped special was marked up to $279
and it was in the "clearance section"

That was about all they had.
Oh! and they were giving away some poor customer service. At least I had a good experience in there a year or two ago. Shoulda quit when I was ahead

I called the local Dicks sporting goods this morning and asked them if they had any handi's for $129... they said no. The handi's they have are priced at $239. They do have some rossi combos for $129 though. $:-\$
Oldsoldja...do you have a phone # for the store you got 'em from? I'd like to get ahold of them.

last month the dicks near me had the 22-250 for $129 hard case and scope but someone was already doing the paperwork on it so i lost out on that one.

If you guys can post some info on the shops you got 'em from I can try to get the local Dicks to price match. I'd buy about 3 of 'em for that price.

I think if one store can sell 'em for that then all of 'em can... at least that's what I'm hoping.

Guys,
One of my sales men was hired away from our local dicks a couple years ago. Here is what's happening. They have sales all the time. MOST never publicized. Some one day or weekend just to move product and bolster sales in one department or another. Management has reign on pricing as it pertains to time on the shelf so almost anything is possible. From Dec first thru Jan is best time for some excellent unpublisized deals on sporting goods. Many times they will not even acknowledge the sales on the phone its for in-house customers. So if you want these deals you need to be lucky make a friend with the sales help or be there all the time.

Like all the big box stores, they have deals right after the season. Hit or miss. I bought a pile of Trout Magnets (fishing lure packs). Original $20, marked down to $3. On the other hand, i have seen the same 16 gauge Sluggers for years, they never sell nor are marked down.

Didn't see those, but my local store had a Rem 700 ADL Syn Stainless for $399. Thought that was a good deal. Unfortunatly it was not in a caliber I need right now.

Thanks for the info CW. I was at local DSG store tonight, nothing major HR 45/70 $249. but I can get them all day long @ my local gun shop. I will keep an eye out for those occaisonal deals.
