This is great! A Henry site. Here is how I got here. Ive wanted a Lever gun ever since I watched Chuck Conners spin one on the Rifleman in my youth. SO, I decided to sell off my seldon used Ruger Mini 30 and buy something with a lever. Most likely a Winchester. I found those too expensive so I settled on a Marlin. It had to have a big loop to fit my hand and accomidate my wrist that doesnt bend much due to old injuries. The guin also had to be less recoil then the Mini 30 7.62x39mm. My old back couldnt take much kick due to the same injuries. It had to be 357/38sp with a big loop AND,,, it had to be AMERICAN made. A tall order! I jointed a MARLIN site and found some one who could make a big loop for the 1894 and then learned of all the quality issues with Marlin and their buyout from Remington. Now im sure Marlin has made many great rifles and they will get thru the current troubles, but i couldnt afford to get a bad one. Right next to the Marlins on the rack at the local dealer where these beautifull Henrys. I learned that they come in 357 mag and have a big loop you could order. That was topped off with an unbeatable warrentee. One week ago today I sold the Mini 30 and ordered a new Henry. Then ordered a big loop. THe new Henry could be here TODAY. You will be hearing more from me im sure. thanks for the site. GRAMPS
