Footage has emerged of a woman being publicly whipped in Sudan for wearing pants.

The video offers a rare glimpse of the type of punishment inflicted on women who break the country's strict morality code.

The victim was punished under Sharia law for wearing pants under her Islamic clothing.

The footage shows her crawling on the ground, raising her arm to try to ward off the attacks and screaming as the whip strikes.

The public punishment sparked protests among females against laws they said humiliated women.

Dozens of them were arrested.

The governor of Khartoum said there had been a mistake in the way the victim's punishment had been carried out.

Make no mistake... even when the erstwhile, conservative citizens of one of the most conservative states in the union vote to ban this kind of evil... it gets knocked down in the name of "religious freedom".  Prepare you daughters and grand-daughters... or fight it now.

Most moslem women, despite FOXy News, consider the selling of womenhood thru naked protrayals and the pole dancing culture as far worse 'oppression' than anything in their world....that is something to think about.

In opposite world that might have some bearing, but in reality it's irrelevant.  Freedom to choose what you want to do is not in any way shape or form "oppression".  Nobody is forced to be a pole dancer or pose nude.  Women do it because it's good money, and many, many of them see no value in sticking to the preachy "morals" society feels like forcing upon them.

True freedom is the freedom to choose.  If a women doesn't want to pose nude or be a stripper, then by golly, she doesn't have to.  People doing what they want and minding their own business.  What a novel idea!
