  In General. Germans are not in denial, most realize such a thing happened.  However, there are many who do not wish to face the facts or talk about it.
  Often times, some folks who had horse theives, prostitutes or serial killers in their genealogy...don't really care to discuss the matter.

   I was challenged to show where Gen Eisenhower agreed with the usual depiction of the holocaust. Did anyone view the documentary I posted ? That was produced by the US Army and you can see Gen Eisenhower touring one of the killing camps at the 9 minutes 20 seconds mark. Gen Eisenhower was in charge of the whole Army then, and obviously would not have allowed his picture to be used where he disagreed with it.
   Did you also notice that there were no bodies of old people or little children shown in the movies ?  The explanation is simple; as the trains arrived at the camp, the people were "sorted"..the aged, handicapped and the little children were sent into the left line the ones who could do labor for the third reich, were sent to the right line which marched into the camp. The left line was taken directly to the gas chambers.

     I don't know how to analyze wreckhog's statement above, except to answer the two questions.


  A) No, not all the ovens are still there, most have been torn down..as with any outmoded, useless facility. A few examples have been preserved, such as those at Dachau and Auschwitz.

  B) Dr. Mengele would not have vaccinated prisoners for the prisoner's benefit but he may have included some kind of vaccination in his experiments. He performed many experiments..freezing people to death in icewater and concentrating massive doses of X-ray on mens gonads as a sterilization attempt.
  He particularly liked toying with twins and often had arriving trains searched for sets of twins for experiments.

   I don't know where you got your fire brick life estimates from, but they don't stand up to reality. You claim firebrick must be replaced every 1500 hours.  That may be convenient for holocaust deniers, but I know better than that ! From 1958 until 1962 I worked at a brick yard. Our kiln, where the bricks were fired, was a quarter mile long and ran continually (24/7) reaching  2,000 degrees F at the halfway point.  Your figure of 1500 hours would make rebuild of the firebrick inthe kiln necessary every 62.5 days.
  The firebrick interior of the kiln was inspected and repaired each summer during the 2-week shutdown, when most employees took their vacation. Normally, the kiln never shut down between summer vacations.

  Think a bit...Many guys here have wood stoves which are lined with firebrick.  Do they find it necessary to tear down their stoves a couple times each winter to replace the firebricks ?

These films are accredited and used by all major news services and attested to by hundreds of thousands of survivors, GIs who entered the camps and the villagers who surrounded the camps. I have presented much documentary evidence with just that one film collection. ....Plus the portions of the death camps which remain...with the gas chambers and ovens !!!
 
   If you are to contravene the evidence provided in that video, you MUST come up with just such a video, produced by just such a prestiegous and trusted organization as the US Army Signal Corps and all the witnessing officers at the time. It should include footage disproving all which was presented.
    You saw all the bodies in the films..where do you think they came from ?  You saw all the soldiers in the films, do you believe they are all actors ?  You saw the hundreds of people starved to barely covered skeletons, do you believe they were actors..starved that far for filming purposes ?

I had American killing family members as well. They served in the American civil war. I'll bet we go far enough back in our family trees we would find relatives that were fought against in WWII. An American killing family is a family that has had a recent history (2 generations removed) of fighting a war directed at killing Americans.   True, the term "holocaust" was coined in the 1960s, which has no bearing upon when or how the events took place.
     The term is used because, saying "holocaust" is simpler than saying... " the Nazi program oif 'the final solution' wherein the Nazis did their very best to slaughter all the Jews they could lay hands upon".

  In a later post you ask me what I believe happened in the concentration camps.Well, taking into consideration the first-person accounts I have experienced, both with American veterans, holocaust survivors and personal friends ion Germany I discussed this with plus the few physical remains of the death factories, now preserved as a reminder.. I believe it took place just as I explained in my posts #31, 38, 66 and 67, the video in post #67 is an excellent lesson for any student of history .   I just "call them as I see them"...
