I will and do however study , place context in constructs of time periods , discuss with others , and form my own opinions and beliefs based on what I learn. and if I feel it warrants rebuttal, Then I will certainly provide one based on an informed decision from knowledge I obtain.

Yes, he was apparently jailed at one time and even left his family at one point. He was a member of the Kansas legislaturte in 1871 &1872. All these events were long before he was saved in 1879.
Either you do not understand genuine Christianity, or you intentionally omitted the important date of his conversion (1879).. which is it ?

I would like to point out one thing, a point several here apparently missed. Look again at my above statement and let me emphasize

NOTE: I said WE would don full field pack..and altogether with them...we would run.. I never simply DROVE such troops, I always LED them. By doing what they were doing and beating them at it, one gained respect. It also builds Esprit De Corps and confidence in the troops !
Not surprised some were confused, anyone never having tasted the military, especially the combat arms, probably wouldn't understand.

I was a kid that was walking the fence and running with a bad crowd. My father died when I was young and I was truant running the streets by 14. My Uncle finally intervened when I was 17 - and away to the military I went. Best darn thing that ever happened. Learned not to be self centered , to think of team , put others before self, and and it was more important all finished together than one to finish alone.

I had a lot of respect for the DI's . I didn't make it easy for 'em either , I was a hard case with a big chip. Challenged them every step of the way, But in the end I gained much respect for them and the Job they did , day in and day out and have to admit , They made me a better person to this day. And yes they gained my respect because they indeed led by example. They did not ask anything of us they themselves were not prepared to do , or did . Fair but Tough is how I always described our DI's.

They took boys/young men and made soldiers. Those who never served just can't relate.

I am pleased it worked for you, it usually does, at least in about 95% of those cases. I am sure it will be no surprise to you..that we DIs rather handpicked the strenuous exercise we led the troops in. I am built like a draft horse..I sure wouldn't have run the 100 yard dash against those trainees !

Although I was OK at pullups and very good at situps..we already had a "pushup machine" type guy in residence. My specialty was full gear and run the hills..and the way the sand shifts and slips under boots, it was a great "rebellion tamer"

As I told my grandson when he entered the Marines 7 years ago, " You will think that your DI hates you more than anyone ever could, but the last couple days he will be your best friend..he was only being like that to keep you alive when the stuff hits the fan".
Now that he is a combat-experienced platoon Sgt at Parris Island..he uses the same method...and ironically, his specialty is, 'full gear and run the sandy trails'.

...And you're right; if they never did it, they'll never know !

I believe that in one case, the ones able to work were allowed a theatre company (their own actors)..kept them occupied at no cost, as the nazis saw it. A brothel for prisoners? ...you better go back to smoking plain tobacco !

No credible witness claimed they could tell nationality of the victims, but they could tell if they were new arrivals or some who were imprisoned for a while.. the fresh ones had some fat on them, unlike the ones on starvation diets. Nationality may be assumed if say, they were shipping fresh bodies in from Holland, then the fat laced, greasy smoke would be Dutch..I guess. When you say crematoriums produce no visible smoke, undoubtedly you are comparing civilian crematoriums with their current, stringent rules to operate in a community.
