RevJim, you got it right. Heritage and grass fed hogs get shot too. This isn't being limited to sport swine. The lawsuits aught to be spectacular. The governor better get a leash on the DNR soon. All he!! is about to beak loose.

Well, seems our DWR folks mut do alot of hob knobbing with your DNR guys...as of May 8, no more shooting hogs on private game farms in Utah! I can "guarantee "you I have never seen any feral hog problem here. This is a "pre emptive" ruling to such. I say it's overreaching govt. by proxy.

I wouldn't tolerate any G-man stepping foot on my property with the intent to kill my pets.  I'm a long 4 hours from Escanaba but if there is a stand off of any significance Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, I can be there on your behalf.  If you don't stand up for your rights and what you believe in, then you are just a rat in a human suit.

What will the DNR do when they realize that pink farm pigs will go "invasive" when they get the chance. This is an example of the "cops" making the rules... I am a cop! this is sickening!

False Rumors About Feral Swine Enforcement - Setting the Record Straight

False rumors are circulating about the manner in which the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is enforcing a 2010 Invasive Species Order declaring a certain species of swine prohibited in Michigan.

We'd like to set the record straight.

Sounds like heritage hogs are prohibited.  This is silly since hogs come from Europe and aren't native to the US.
