First AR Build
« on: December 16, 2010, 10:56:08 AM »
I am in need of some AR wisdom, I'm preparing to start my first AR build. This weapon will be used to shoot coyotes and various other four legged vermin. I have narrowed my choices of uppers to the RRA Coyote Rifle and the Bushmaster Predator Rifle. Does anyone own one or have a preference of one over the other? There is about $100 price difference in the two uppers, that will be less I have to spend on my trigger, stock, mags, and ammo. Any other suggestions? I will be building on a Bushmaster lower that I have stashed back.

I'm no authority on varmint rifles, but the persons I know who are knowledgeable in such things speak highly of the Bushmaster Predator models. I know I have been happy with the A2 and M4 Bushmasters. I have a 16" Shorty that will turn in sub MOA groups with Silver Bear. Best group to date has been .78" with that rifle. I'm confident the RRA will do as well. I'd go with the cheaper one and put the extra money I saved into the optic.
