Ruger All Weather 270

Acquired a new all weather from a raffle. Can anyone comment on them?  How do they shoot? Just looking for personal opinions.  Thanks

I've been waiting to see if anyone would comment on your Ruger in 270 Win.

I have this rifle in 300 WM and love it. I didn't care for the factory rings too much, so I bought after market rings by Burris. They are slimmer and give the rifle a cleaner look. I put a Nikon 2.5-10X42 Monark scope on it. The overall package is a little on the heavy side, but that really helps in taming magnum loads. It's been a very accurate out-of-the-box rifle for me. I use it in Alaska for moose hunting where not a lot of walking is invloved.

I've been looking into getting this rifle in 270 Win for all day hunts and also hunts for caribou and black bear. With some of today's factory bullets I think the 270 would be enough gun for anything up here and the 270 is quite a bit lighter than my 300 WM.

I have 2 mark II all weathers,a 270 win.  And a 338 win mag. Both shoot really good. The more you shoot them, the better they get. My 270 win loves 130 grain bullets. Factory or reloads, really shoots well with the Barnes 130grn TSX.I have 3x9 Bushnell with Rain guard on it. The action was a little rough when I bought the rifle, But the more you open and close the bolt, the smother it gets. Same with my 338 win mag All weather. It shoots 250 grn bullets really good. I think you will be impressed with the rifle. Just put a descent scope on the rifle. MIKE
