Virgina Gov says Merry Christmas to the troops.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell has sent a holiday message to United States service members and their families stationed overseas. The message is airing in between regular programming on the Armed Forces Network throughout the holiday season. This effort was coordinated by the U.S. Depart of Defense.

TRANSCRIPT: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I’m Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia, and an Army veteran. Five years ago our oldest daughter Jeanine was deployed in Iraq over the Christmas holiday, serving our nation in the Army. We missed her very much during that time. I know how hard it is to be away from home and being apart from loved ones during the holidays. So I want to say thank you for your service and your sacrifice to keep our great nation safe. And thanks for what you do to protect the liberties of Americans. Merry Christmas and God bless you.

How proud I would be for ALL of our governors to act in like manner. Sadly, I doubt most care. I will join in with Christmas greetings for ALL of my fellow veterans and surely for those who are serving active duty. may God bless you ALL.

Right after 9-11-01 govornors, mayors, political critters of all persuasions were praying to God in public and the A nti   C hristian  L iars  U nion crawled under their rock and Americans were briefly on the same page. Then after a couple of weeks the aclu and dems slithered out from under their rocks and it was business as usual. May God bless that Gov for standing tall. POWDERMAN.
