God is on the side of the oppressed and downtrodden.  Our forefathers should have made slavery illegal from the begining.  The blood of millions including the 700,000 or so is on their hands.

Freedom is for everyone, not just people with light skin.

In WWII their were Christian men in German uniform who thought that God was on their side.
I have opinion without any scriptural base or historical foundation that this nation was preordained. If I am correct on this point---Who could stand against this Will of God.
Now, that is just my opinion.

God can be in the hearts  of men on both sides , a soilder is not a sinner for following orders and I would assume God protected men on both sides.
God is on the side of those who follow and accept him no matter their station in life or color of their skin.

So in your mind, even know, Lincoln ordered the war, which resulted in 700,000 deaths, God would side with Lincoln? Since when did God delegate this authority to Lincoln or are you implying that God commands us to kill so we can correct the sins of others?

We aren't supposed to be talking about God here, but I'll finish my thought.  If you'll read the Bible you'll see many examples of what I'm talking about.  God does what he wants to whether we think it's right or fair.  He is sovereign.  He constantly adjusts the gene pool to get his children here.  When the last one is here they'll all be gone in the twinkling of an eye.  Lincoln was created to do a job.  When God was finished with him he took him home as he always does.

You can continue to follow me around and trying to provoke me if you wish.  I have no further comment on this subject.

FIRST: My first posts on this thread start on page 3 posts 61,64,66,68. Your first post is #89. SO, who’s following who Swampman!

SECOND: Your comments that God is managing the gene pool by commanding Lincoln to start war is just plain rediculous.

THIRD: You are the one that invoked God into this thread and then accuse me of starting it.

This is the typical Swampman reaction when he gets painted into a corner by his own words.

The blood of 700,000 or one lie is no greater or less. Barely saved comes to mind---but saved is the difference.
I was the one that brought up devine providence---some prefer to use other words---same difference. Manifest destiny is nothing more or less.

Swampman700 if Lincon was here for a purpose then Hitler was also by your way of thinking. Then you say the gene pool is adjusted to get Gods people here . When one considers that Hitler killed millions of Gods chosen people one has to ask what are you talking about ?
