Why so few choices for a 500 mag?

Give it a rest. To many guys think that they have a right to tell someone else what they should be using on game.

....basically all I was trying to say in my post. If one is a fan of the shooting sports, he should support all areas, calibers and venues......not just the one he's into. The caliber wars, the Smith vs Ruger crap, the handloads vs factory for SD/HD and the blue kool-aid vs the red kool-aid gets old.

it didn't pertain to caliber size, but to ones ability with calibers and handguns in general. One's skill with any handgun regardless of caliber should be the determining factor on what they use and the shot they take. What's legal and what's not is pretty cut and dried. Ethics like morals, is a whole different can of worms.

and  only so many gun dallars  out there to be earned
while  4  of us are  DIEING  for a nice  500 lever gun to accompany  our  5oo revolver
THERE ARE 399  GUYS  LOOKING FOR  A 30-30  or   44 or 357   lever gun
and 83 looking for a 45-70
why  would they waste  time on  us 4???

Hey .45-70....... Your carry round and firearm will do just fine.  Your .357. Both lungs it works as much as a .270. Yes, it works that well.....
