I have a 116ss in .270 and it shoots good. I bought it to put a premium ss barrel on but it shoots too good the way it is. Its light weight makes it nice to carry. I haven't shot anything but paper but it is sub moa with a cheap scope on it. If my chrony was correct I had some of my reloads go about 3300 fps without exceeding the book loadings. My 110 in 7 mag didn't shoot as fast with the same weight bullet.

I bought a 116 with detachable mag in 30/06 a few months back. I had to bed the factory stock as it was in bad shape, after bedding it will consistently turn in .5"-.8" groups at 130yds with loads it likes. I have hunted with it almost everyday since I got it tuned up.
