Trouble

Is anyone other than me having trouble with this site? Of late it seems to load very slowly if at all. Very frustrating.

It has been slow for everyone, I believe Matt is working on getting the new servers online, until then we will have to be patient.

  Same problem here. Very slow if at all. Hope Matt can get everything straightned out. Seems to work ok very early in the morning. Later in the day lots of problems.

Depends on how many folks are on the site.  The more people on site the slower it works.

I have hopes we'll get the new server in place next week. Matt has really drug his feet on this one and has been undecided between the two candidates to host it for us. That decision should have been made yesterday but it's too late now to get it to them this week so next week maybe.

Once it's in place and operational all of GBO will be moved to it and nothing else will be on the server just GBO. It has almost ten gigs of RAM compared to only 3 gigs on the current servers and is otherwise as fast and powerful than our two current servers which have a huge load on them right now. Having it dedicated to only GBO and that much RAM should really make things faster which is much needed.

I'll go one more step and say......The "best" general outdoor forum.
I belong to several local in state forums, but this is by far the best coast to coast forum. I like the real people feel about it. I'm sick of the so called experts on some of the others.
