Is it legal it shoot Raindeer off your roof or do you have to wait until they are airborne?

  What caliber would you recommend?

I think we have all shot standing whitetails so i believe it would be legal  to shoot a raindeer off the roof. Where i live now i couldn't shoot one. When i lived in the country i would shoot one with the 270.  ;D

I think this would be the one exception were the PGC would allow the use of a Red Rider BB gun.

I think that, if I were going to shoot a RAINdeer, I'd use a 7x30 WATERs.

I second the WATERS, (in a contender, 14" Bull).  May I add to only shoot after they leave your roof...not before they get there............

I think it is a question of ethics like shooting a turkey off the roost.......
