I've been graving a Marlin 1894C .357 for awhile now. I keep talking myself out of buying one because I don't need it, I just want it. I received a Cabela's flyer a few weeks back and low and behold they had the Marlin on sale. I joked to my wife that the gods are taunting me with this lovely lever gun.
Well CHRISTmas morning after all the kids were done tearing into gifts, my wife hands me a bag. She says, "Here I got you some of these..." It was a couple of boxes of 12ga shotshells. I said thank you...but was kinda puzzled. Then she whips out a Winchester SX3. My heart sank in my chest. She was so proud that she bought me the gun I wanted in the Cabela's flyer. She was just on the wrong page. My daughter proceeds to say, "That's not the gun he's been wanting..." Once again, my heart sank.
It was a very Merry Christmas in our home, and I am very thankful for all I have. First and foremost, my wife and kids.
I'm hoping Cabela's will let me return the SX3...nice shotgun, but I want a Marlin 1894C.
