My Stevens 200
« on: December 26, 2010, 12:45:29 PM »
I bought myself a Stevens 200 in 308 win about Sept 1, 2010 worked up a load and went huntin this fall with success. I shot it again today just checking getting ready for our Doe season. I had to post these pictures. Just to show that you don't have to spend a ton of money to have a very accurate and reliable rifle. These have to be the best bang for the bucks spent. Everything you see on the rifle came to just under $500.00

These and their big brother, the savage with accutrigger.  I have a stevens 223 with a tasco target scope, and a savage 243 package gun, with the cheap scope.  I have right at 400 in each, and get similar results at 100 yards.

Well, hows this for service. A friend of mine is selling his new NIB Stevens 200 in .308. When I got his email, I'ld told him I'ld like to see it, so this coming wknd. we're seeing each other at a gun show. I was always happy with the performance from all the Savage's I ever had, and was wondering how the 200 stacked up. Looks like I might just bring it home with me and give it awhirl.(Specially since the price is under $300) gypsyman :)
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman
