Not a lot of info on these.  Rimfire Central doesn't even have a lot.  Anybody have one or know much about them?  I'll have one by the end of the week.  I'm thinking 22 Mag but might try the 17 HMR just to be different.

I think trotterlg got one a while back.  Might shoot him a pm and ask how he liked it.  It's a pretty sweet looking little gun.  I hear they are hard to find though.

Yep, I've seen his posts on RC.  He has the 22Mag.  I'm kinda caught between the mag and the HMR.  Since the Mag is available and the HMR isn't that's probably what I'll have sent in Wed. or Thur.  Haven't heard anything bad about them.  Just thought I would look for more comments.  Either way I'm gonna have one. ;D

saw a used one over on SP. i think he wanted $200

just checked on it ,it sold 12/24/2010 for $200

I assume its the same action, etc., as the Chipmunk rifle? How are these Keystone products compared to the original Oregon(?) based Chipmunks?

I haven't shot one but have 'held' one!  does that count?   ;D

Actually the Chipmunk Hunter is 'similar' except that the action is left-handed, that is if it was indeed used as a rifle!

(now what the heck is he saying!!??). 

For a right-hand-held bolt-pistol, the bolt is on the left-side ..... so that it is never necessary to transfer the C-Hunter to your left- hand if you were a right-handed shooter, like most folks are!!  Loading and unloading is as simple as working the bolt and dropping the new round on the floor-plate.

This all matters to me, since I'm a lefty.  And to use such a gun as the Chipmunk Hunter I would either have to reach (awkwardly) over the action, or transfer the gun to my left before working the bolt (like on a normal bolt-action)!

There are two strikes to overcome if I bought one of those Chipmunk Hunters.  #1  I just described, and the #2 obstacle is the stock is molded / contoured for a right-handed shooter.

Dammed inconvenient for a southpaw.   >:(   :o   Otherwise an interesting looking handgun - good for the squirrel shooter, 22-silhoette enthusiast, or even the hiker and survivalist (potentially).

You're correct, and it did just that,  Such a simple trigger design makes this a simple task as it only took a couple minutes to eliminate the creep.  Accuracy is beyond any other 22WMR I've ever shot in either pistol or rifle form.

Cougar, I understand your problem and your affliction.   :D  I wondered when I got this what a lefty would do.  Had an injured right hand a couple times and could hardly wipe my own butt.  Needless to say, I'm not a good weak hand shooter. :o

The guys on the Specialtypistols.com forum did these or the .22LR version as a group buy a year or so back. You might ask around over there, those guys have probably shot them enough to tell you what you need to know. I wanted one but it wasn't on the "Maryland Approved List" or shipped with a fired shell casing so I couldn't buy a new one. Stupid, huh - 4th highest cost of living in the country didn't buy us much in the way of common sense or brainpower with the MSP folks. I didn't pay them much attention since, just kept shooting my Contender. I always though it would be fun to have a little bolt action pistol.

I just got my chipmunk and I am wondering if they have any adjustable sight sets that are available.  I want to use it for my production class pistol and I really need to be able to adjust on the fly. click, click, click.    thks
