New Heritage or used Ruger
« on: December 15, 2003, 04:31:31 AM »
Considering a Heritage Rough Rider as a first single action. Only problem is that due to MN. laws only the steel frame version is legal for dealers to sell, so it gets into the range of a used Ruger Single Six. Does anyone have any experience with the Heritage they can share with us? Or, experience with a used Single Six (new or three screw)?
Thanks,

I've been buying single six rugers for over 40 years.  Don't intend to stop!

Some folks have the Heritage and like them just fine. They claim that they are very accurate.

I had a Ruger but a used H&R that I bought outshot it. I got rid of the Ruger. There are lemons and jewels in every gun model.

Even a new Yugo will run for a day or two. Still wouldn't buy one. Poor analogy, so in plain English, RUGER.
