Obama pros and cons for 2012
« on: December 28, 2010, 04:17:41 AM »
Potential Pros:
1) Public outraged at republican legislation
2) Increased stock values
3) Bad republican presidential candidates
4) Afghan war getting no public scrutiny
5) Maintains positive spin on health care reform while republicans work against it. This leads to an endless stream of human interest stories in the news

Potential cons:
1) Persistent high unemployment, especially for long-term unemployed
2) Expensive gasoline (attributable in part to the policy of not using US resources to moderate the cost)
3) Inflation no longer deniable
4) Benefit cuts for government employees
5) Reduced job security for government employees
6) Persistent challenging lending environment for small businesses
7) Businesses hiring more, but not significantly more.
8) Public realizes that Afghan war is a bad idea
9) Good republican candidates for president
10) Republican congress actually and miraculously seen as positive by the public.
11) Public sees problems with high deficits and blames Obama

Pro's? There's Pro's?   Seems everything listed as, is a matter of coverage by the press. Ask yourself, what does the propoganda machine spew in which light. Don't want it to be a problem for "your" guy? Don't talk about it. Absolutely nothing has changed between bush and bo except occupancy of the oval office.
