« on: December 29, 2010, 11:05:25 AM »
Hey guys I'm looking at a H&R Shikari 44Mag for $245.00. Desent shape.
1974-75 vintage. Nice wood. Tight fitting reciever. Couldn't find much
in the FAQs. Would this be a good, bad or ugly deal  ??? Any help

Sounds ok if it's in prime condition, do a search for shikari, select just this forum from the list of forums, lots of hits.

Good ones are getting hard to find so if it's nice go for it. They're good looking rifles and are said to shoot well too.

IIRC, the 45-70 was the longer, the .44Mag about 24".
