Buying a new gun is suppose to be fun, At least it is for me. GB for you
it has been nothing but a chore that raises your blood pressure. I can see
where some of the excitement would be gone. Even if this gun is fine I
don't think I could deal with that company again after what they put you
thru.

Well clearly I was LIED TO AGAIN!

Gun still didn't show up today and Robert DID NOT call me back as he assured me he would with the tracking number. I called him this morning and left a message to that effect on his voice mail. Still no return call from him today.

I'm beginning to wonder if it is their intention to steal the gun from me and just never return anything. We're now two day shy of two full months I've owned this gun and have seen it for less than two days of that time. Taurus has had it the rest and still no resolution on this issue.

Those ugly Rugers are looking better and better everyday :(
If only S&W would clean up thier act,but it looks like they are going down a slippery slope. BTW.. I didnt notice any of the S&W fans defending the post on the newly appointed big wheels at S&W

I called yesterday morning. Was told by Robert he would watch it all the way thru until shipment and call me with the tracking number. I got no call. Called again today. Now I'm told they are having a software program and can't get it to print out right to ship to me. Maybe but it sure is getting old.

Graybeard,
Sounds like you are getting the royal run around.  Computer troubles caused a non-shipment??  Come on now, a major manufacturer can't find someone in the company to type or write your name and address on a package and deliver it to the shipping department??  If this keeps up, I would threaten to get a lawyer involved...

Good luck,

As of just a few minutes ago Robert assured me a replacement revolver left there today headed my way via FEDEX overnight. I have a tracking number. Haven't gone to the FEDEX site to verify yet but if this is true I'll have it in hand tomorrow.

Now IF it is like the other one I'm gonna ask them to refund my full purchase price.

Well guys it looks like I'm FINALLY gonna get a replacement gun delivered today. I called Robert late yesterday afternoon and he told me it shipped then. He gave me a FEDEX tracking number and they show it will be delivered some time today before 4:30 PM.

Sure seems like about time. After all it has now been over two months.

I've been assured it is a replacement and not the piece of junk that came to them from me. TWICE!!

Will let you know what it looks and feels like probably tomorrow but maybe tonight depending on what I end up doing.

There is another thread on here somewhere about it. Was a sticky but I changed it to normal so it is floating.

But the story is I got the replacement gun. It seems to be fine. Real tight lock up. With hammer back you can barel detect the slightest bit of side to side play. Hold both hammer and trigger and you feel zero side play. There is a very faint beginning of a ring on the cylinder. It appears to have been test fired once around at the factory.

There is the normal bit of action grittiness all Taurus guns seem to have until cleaned and lubed. I fully expect it to go away after I clean and lube it. Trigger pull if fine as is. No complaints. Over all it appears as good as any Taurus gun I've bought.

But because of the hassle I was given over this I've really lost interest in the gun. The day it came  home I opened the box here in the computer room and after examining it I placed it on the floor behind my chair. It is still setting in the same spot untouched since. I just can't seem to work up a desire to look at it right now. I'm still too mad at Taurus for the way they acted over this one.

I honestly doubt I'll buy any more Taurus products and for sure will not be suggesting to anyone else they do so.

All this sounds like the same hassle I got from S&W several years ago. I would dearly love to have a 500 S&W, but darn sure won't buy anything with S&W logo on it.
On the other hand I have a RB .45lc, 6" blued that I am having lots of fun with.
