Etrex help

I have had  a Etrex gps for little over a year noe never a problem.This weekend I guess it died.I used it all day friday,turned it on saturday morning and it will not pick up any satellites at all I left it on for 3 hours nothing.Any ideas?

      Make sure the date and time are right on your eTrex and you  have good batteries.If it still doesn't track any satellites or go into autolocateI would contact garmin. The date and time must be right so eTrex knows what satellites to look for.

Doghunter,thanks for reply.The *%#@! thing shows dec 31 2005,6:13 pm.The manual or the garmin website tells you how to set clock.Any ideas.

Wheelgun, try this and let us know if it fixes your problem.

crap, I cannot figure out how to ad an attachment so i`ll try to type the fix.

Try this:
Reset; press and hold arrow up, press and hold the page, press and hold the enter and finally press and hold the power and it will global reset the software in eTrex Camo.

ps: Instructions for setting the time are in your manual under setup.

Ice , I tried that already to reset the unit ,did'nt help.I talked to Etrex they said to ship it back so i did .They said time was set when it picked up satalite.thanks for reply
