CVA Stalker Rifle Question?
« on: January 01, 2011, 04:10:06 AM »
I recently purchased a CVA Optima Stalker rifle from Dicks in .223. When I got it home and inspected it closer, I noticed when the barrel locks up to the reciever , there is an obvious gap on the right side between the barrel and reciever frame. You can slide a piece of paper( maybe thicker) between the barrel and reciever about half way in. It appears to lock up with no movement , but the rear of the barrel is in contact with the reciever only on the left side. Will this effect accuracy or anything?

I would be afraid to give you any other answer than if you have a question or doubts, don't shoot it until you call CVA and explain the situation to them.  A photo showing the gap may also be helpful.

I have one on order now and will pick it up next weekend.

Good luck with yours.  Keep us posted of your success.

email cva along with the photos, describing the situation, to CVA.  They may well want you to ship the rifle in for inspection.  That is the best & safest way to do it.

Good luck & keep us posted.
