Hello all,

Just recently went out and bought a handi in .223 and I'm gonna try to get into hunting yotes more often.  I have been going at night with my GF's old man, but haven't had much luck.  I've been practicing a little bit with mouth calls, but i went out and bought a johnny steward attractor electronic call, its ok for what it is.  I'd really like to get a foxpro or sometime like that that has more capabilities but until I get out of college and into a good paying job that will have to wait.  I'm always willing to learn and I love to hear stories from older folks that have been around.  I use to hang around huntingnet.com and archerytalk when I took off big into bow hunting, but work and school cut that down horribly.  I will probably spend most of my time in this sub-forum, and the NEF/H&R centerfire forums,  but I have notice that there is alot of subforums here so I may branch out:).

first off welcome aboard you will enjoy it here i think we all do
yote hunting is addictive and has gotten to me pretty good. as far as needing a fox pro ??? a cheep mp3 player and external speaker is just as good or better in someways in past threads it has been discussed as far as how to set it up remember to set it up for where you live tho.  as far as the handi goes 223 is a great round for the yote.
there is bow hunting forums here on gbo as well and you will find that it holds a bunch of very helpful people too.
rw     oh happy new year too ;D

Check out a site called Varmint Al's.  He has instructions on building an e-caller on the cheap.  You can download MP3 calling sequences too.  It's another great source of info!  I downloaded his MP3's to my crackberry and use it to freak people out at times! :o
