  Just keep in mind that the "rimmed" versions of these old cartridges aren't loaded to as high of pressures that the "rimless" versions...  And that = a bit less velocities.

  I would think for cheap shooting, .357 mag. bullets would work well in a 9x57...

In researching the 9x57R I am very impressed with it for a hog cartridge, interestingly the 9x57r drilling has a hog engraved on it..  ;D

  I don't think a German Drilling will have a "hog" on it...  It has a "boar"!
