At 17 ounces it does look like a good light weight carry option. I was more interested in their Gunsite Model 77 Scout Rifle in 308. That looks like a great rifle.

I'm a big Ruger fan (got a 10/22, P95, Standard Model .22lr, and an LCP), but with the stated price-point, I just don't see myself getting this. Basically looks like a Kel-tec PF9 clone at 30% more cost.

I DO have the SR9 on my wishlist though. Compared to other full-sized striker-fired pistols in that class, it does seem to be well-priced.

That would be sweet. Ive been so impressed with my SBH, I would definitely be interested in a 1911 from them.

Ruger knows a good thing when they see it. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't come out with a 14 shot pump shotgun in a few years.

I was in the market for a gun for my firlfriend and at the shop they had a new LC9. very much a keltec clone but it did seem a bit thinner, it was very thin. The sights were pretty good I will give it that. I ended up getting a sr9c for her and a lcp for warm wether carry.

LC9 is more than twice the weight of an LCP, and only 5 or 6 ounces lighter than an SR9c. Another reason I woudn't buy the LC9 is the double action only feature, which is gonna be like the LCP. Then there's that safety thingy that just seems wrong on a double action only. However, it would carry better than the SR9c. A trade-off I personally won't go for. I'd rather have a little thicker gun with a much better trigger and more capacity and suffer the little extra size/weight. But I bet they sell very well.

This has been a quiet subject lately.... I have shot my LC9 a little over 300 times now and I like it a lot. No problems with 3 different brands of ammo. The longer trigger pull took a little getting used to but its not a problem. It seems to be everything it was said to be.

Got mine in a few weeks ago. Fired it about 30 or 40 rounds. Haven't had time to do a full test & evaluation on it, but so far I'm impressed and like it a lot.

My range time was interrupted by the SR1911 being delivered. .45 ACP has to take precedence over 9mm

I bought a LC9 bout 2 weeks ago and love it. Well the trigger could be better but once I shoot it some more I think I'll get better with it. Put a 150 rds of mixed stuff thru it and not one hickup. Got to find a holster now. Probably get a pciket holster to start and an IWB kydex later.

The LC9 is definately on my growing want list now. I held one today in the gun shop and had to wipe my druel off of it when I gave it back to the dealer. I would love to get one for concealed carry. Fit in my hands perfect. I would have laid it away if I wasn't in the middle of a AR project. If I get to many things going at once my wife might shoot me

I pick up my LC9 in 2 more days. Sportsman's Ware house had them on sale a while back for $349 - which is really cheap for a store in Kaliforneeya. Magazine look hard to find and the damn thing only comes with one mag. My Ruger SR9c came with two mags, would it have been logical to include two mags with the LC9?

The reason that anyone would buy this pistol is that it's uniformly thin and has a good deal more power than the .380acp. Heck, most folks think the 9mm is too wimpy, but for a casual CCW gun, I couldn't imagine anything else - beside Kahr's are WAY too expensive IMHO. In my mind, NO plastic gun should ever cost over $4-$500.

Anyways, I've already downloaded the instructions for removing the magazine safety. The good news is that it apparently improves the trigger pull (like the BHP does). Unfortunately it requires a major teardown unlike the SR9c - which seems like they intentionally made it easy to remove. I'll be leaving it in during the first half of break-in since if it has to go back for any reason, I don't want to go through the hassle of putting it back in.

Just curious if you ever removed the mag safety on the LC9 and how that worked out. I love mine and it shoots as good as I can shoot a small short barreled CCW but I'd love a better trigger. I am sure I would have much tighter groups with a shorter travel, crisper trigger. Right now I can get 3 in groups at 12 yards consistently but I think a better trigger would improve that substantially.

No I just took it out and shot it and something is wrong. The "door" that covers the slide pin won't move down far enough to disassemble the gun and also the slide locks open at random - even though the magazine is not empty.

I will say one thing, I was shooting at a 14-inch gong at 28 yards (exact) and I was able to tag the gong every time once I figured out how to best work the trigger. Anyways, Ruger had me send it back and I expect to see it fixed sometime in January 2012.

FWIW, Ruger has been very good about fixing bad guns. I know that it's a fluke, but the last 3 Ruger handguns I've bought have all had to go back to the factory... The first was a Ruger Super Blackhawk that blew out on an OOB firing - It was totaled, along with the pistol rest, and my right shooting glove, and my hand got peppered with enough fragments to bloody it up pretty good.

I just bought one off a guy, haven't shot it yet. I have big hands, and I have to say that it just doesn't point right for me. It points muzzle down a bit too much. I like the KelTec PF9, but thought I'd try one of these. I have to have an arched mainspring housing on any 1911 to keep the muzzle up. I may not keep this little fellow. Nice quality though.

You're right, sold it last night to a fellow who wanted to trade up from a .380 to a 9mm. It's well made, that's for sure, just didn't point right in my hand. A glock 23 Gen 4 points just fine!

Got a LC-9 today, just ONE time I wish I could buy a Ruger that didn't have something wrong. The slide will not lock back when fired empty. This problem might be considered minor but it is annoying after buying a SR-9 that had to be sent back twice to get it to work halfway. I think I may need to rethink my selection of Ruger firearms.

x2.....Just bought one a few weeks ago from a dealer and took it to the range last week.. 17 rounds later (with 3 types of ammo) and NINE FTF's due to light primer strikes, and its off to AZ for repair! Makes me sick...
