I can see and understand attacking Sarah Palin, she put herself in their sights.  I did not like it when they attacked Bristol, but Bristol put herself out there in public view when went on Dancing with the stars.  But Willow has done nothing but be a normal teenager.  No one is attacking Obama's kids.  No one is attacking Bidden's kids.  I don't see much on McCains kid.  Who's next little Piper?

Kathy Griffin announced her New Year’s resolution to continue a verbal assault on the Palin family. Only in 2011, the comedian said she intends to target Sarah Palin’s 16-year-old daughter, Willow.

"I've already gone for Sarah, Todd and Bristol obviously," Griffin told The Hollywood Reporter. "But I think it's Willow's year to go down. In 2011, I want to offend a new Palin.”

Could Griffin be switching to a younger, easier Palin target following her Bristol backfire in December?

On a special that aired Dec. 5, Kathy Griffin was jeered by the audience after attacking Bristol Palin for being “fat” while hosting the VH1 Divas “Salute to the Troops.” Griffin called the 20-year-old to “the white Precious,” based on Gabourey Sidibe’s role as an obese and abused teen mother in the 2009 Lee Daniels drama.

I've never understood why a comedian would do that. It's guaranteed to be typically not funny to half the potential audience, except in urban centers, where it's not funny to maybe 30%. That's why Jeff Foxworthy is as highly regarded as he is. He picks subject matter that the entire family can at least listen to without objection, and is generally apolitical.

As for whether it goes too far, consider the source. What do you expect?

She used to co host the view, but has even been banned from that show. Go figure. She is also banned from many other talk shows because she can't refrain from spewing filth out of her mouth. She has even been banned from CNN for using profanity two different times.
If there was no such thing as foul language, she wouldn't have a job.    

She won an emmy award once and this was her acceptance speech.
"Now, a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. He didn't help me a bit. If it was up to him, Cesar Millan would be up here with that damn dog. So all I can say is suck it, Jesus, this award is my god now!"  What a intelligent speech. Huh?

I wouldn't worry too much about Kathy Griffin.  She's pretty low on the totem poll as far as comedians go and not very popular.  Her words don't exactly hold a lot of weight.

Personally I don't see the intense dislike towards the Palins.  Not the brightest folks in the world, but they do seem amicable, and both Sarah and Bristol are pretty (and I certainly wouldn't call Bristol "fat").  Not that I think Palin would make a good president, but outside of politics she seems cool enough that I wouldn't throw insults her way.

All in all though, though I typically try to avoid sexism, there are just very, very few female comedians that I find funny.  Kathy Griffin ain't one of them.  Matter of fact the only one that springs to mind immediately is Chelsea Handler.

Ther has been and will continue to be so-called comedians and talk show hosts(shallow as a cookie sheet) that will be derogatory to garner any attention they can, be it good or bad, they'll have no compunction what ever if kicking a puppy on primetime gets them rateings they will go for it at risk of ther PETA cards getting revoked, that just adds to the bad girl personna.

Nope to either extreme, I was in reference to seeing her on TV, in real life she is closer to the ugly pic, but not quite that bad. You can make the pig of the county look good with a glamor shot.

I did not mean to make an issue of her looks, that would be going the direction she went with Palin, I am only pointing out that she needs to look at herself first, just like we do sometimes.

Sandra Bernhard looks like a freak but she is funny as hell and sure can sing. Example, one February 14th, I take the wife out to dinner and a show. The show is Sandra Bernhard. David Bowie and his wife Iman sit in front of me. The next song? Angie, by the Rolling Stones, which Mick Jagger sang about his affair with Bowie's then wife. Funny as hell. And she belted it out.

I think that by far the nastiest female comic these days is Whitney Cummings (real name). She actually has toned down her looks. Put herself through college by working as a model. Graduated from an Ivy League school magna cum laude with a double major/double minor. Mouth like a really dirty toilet.
