Stock for M77-MarkII 7MM Rem. Mag
« on: December 15, 2003, 05:09:20 PM »
Does any one know or can recomend a company that can or will do a Laminated Graywood Stock for this model Rifle. Or,.. some good companies I may inquire about fitting this gun with some options on different stocks. I have looked for a good while but have not yet found what I am looking for. And it is not getting rid of the gun. A new Stock is what I want for the gun. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I put a Boyd's laminated stock on my M70 Win. I like it. I got the JRS model. They make a stock for the MKII in grey and brown. My stock was a drop in but the inletting was a little off around the trigger guard and had to have a little more wood removed. Their prices are quite good. Ruger wants $200 for a semi-inletted stock. I didn't put one on my MKII .243. As ugly as the old style synthetic stock is, it works well for me and I can't change function for form.

PM billy and ask him what he thinks. I just got a PM from him about the stocks. His post is under Bolt Action rifles and his post is "stocks"

Call Ruger and give them your serial number and they will sell you a stock like the one you posted.
