I have used Contenders for a long time and have had great results with them, so when it was time to replace my old Browning BAR (I switched from woods hunting to open fields), I tried a Thompson Center Venture in .270. They claimed 1.5 or 1 MOA depending on which ad I read. My first 100 yd. with cheap Remington ammo was about 2" (grrr). I then switched to my first guess at a good hand load. One target was 7/8" and the next was 3/4". I thought this pretty good since .270 is not a target caliber.
It also took a nice buck at 175 yds. a couple of weeks later.
